Philadelphia wins Stanley Cup!

Oh whoops, never mind. That's just my old roommate (and native Philadelphean) Duff with the Stanley Cup. This is the closest a Philadelphean has been to the Cup in over 30 years. Duff works for EA Sports in Vancouver now, and the Cup made an appearance at his office. Had he stolen it and brought it back to Philly, he would have been worshipped as a God here for the remainder of his life.
Here there is only one pro team to perpetually provide sadness to the city's fans. I miss having three franchises to break my heart and one to remind me that there are actually 4 major sports. It was really cool because I could see the two Flyers' cup winning teams. Of course, the local Canucks fans got all up in a tizzy because here the Cup means something other than a reason Bobby Clarke had a job for 20 years too long. It's also something that will never be hoisted to celebrate Victory in this city. Hahaha - I'm still a Philly cynic at heart.
Say what you will...hockey is a major sport only in Canada, Boston, Buffalo and Detroit. It is minor everywhere else, including Philly, where there are about 20,000 hockey fans. They are devoted, but everyone else wearing a Flyers jersey (by the way, the Flyers' uniform is just so '70s...time for a new look) would throw it on the bonfire in a minute for a Phillies or Eagles parade...even the Sixers have far more depth in their following.
BY major sport I am talking about lacrosse at the fourth.
